We need volunteers! If you would like to help with this committee, please contact the Committee Chair. Purpose of the committee: to organize residents who are dedicated to crime prevention and nuisance abatement.

All residents are invited to attend the monthly Weed & Seed meetings. Neighborhood Stabilization Officers, Weed & Seed officers and other police representatives attend these meetings to assist us. These problem solving sessions have proved very effective in ridding our neighborhood of nuisance and criminal behavior.

Third District Weed & Seed Meetings: 2nd Thursday of each month @ 7:00pm @ Five Star Senior Center @ 2832 Arsenal (Arsenal & Oregon). The meeting is followed, in most months, by the Third District St. Louis Metropolitan Police Community Outreach meeting at 7:30 pm in the same location.

Note: Tower Grove East has “graduated” from the Weed and Seed program effective at the end of 2006, but monthly crime-fighting meetings will continue to be held on the schedule above.

If you have observed problem behaviors on your block and need assistance, please contact the committee chair or bring the information to the monthly Weed & Seed meeting. You can also fill out a Nuisance Identification Program (NIP) log and bring it to this meeting. Please have exact addresses, unit #’s, and as much detail of the activity as possible on the NIP log.
