The St. Louis Regional Bicycle Federation, in partnership with the South Grand Community Improvement District, presents the third annual South Grand Bike Tour – Mother’s Day Ride on Sunday, May 9, 2010.

The TGE Charitable/Community Outreach Committee wants to highlight the good work of our neighborhood nonprofits, churches, schools, agencies and residents that serve Tower Grove East!

This past Sunday, I did something I always wanted to do, but have never taken the time out to participate. I took the 16th Annual Grand South Grand House and Garden Tour. This tour had 14 different stops throughout five neighborhoods bordering South Grand Ave. We toured homes and gardens in Compton Heights, Compton Hill Reservoir Square, Shaw, and my neck of the woods: Tower Grove East and Tower Grove Heights.

HopeBuild has arranged a workday with some volunteers this Sunday May, 2nd from 9-noon.

It is not only a good way for City residents to make friends – it’s a great way for City, St. Louis County, and Illinois residents to stay fit and be healthy.

Have old shoes around? Doing some spring cleaning? Let’s donate them to help bring drinking water to Kenya! After seeing this video on Channel 5 about a local man who collects shoes to build wells in Kenya, I’d be so proud if we can make a donation from our Tower Grove East community!

Friday, April 9, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00pm. This will be an opportunity to tour our school, classrooms and interact with our staff and students.

Come and join us for the celebration. Door prizes, raffles, and nail clippings, and pictures with dog/owners will be available. This is a perfect time for current members to renew their application, new members to sign up, or just find out more about the Dog Park.
